The Consell's Plenary has approved the collaboration agreement with the Alicante Provincial Council for the financing and execution of hydraulic infrastructures in the province amounting to 15.53 million euros. The agreement, which will be valid for four years, involves an investment by the Generalitat of 14.22 million euros, through the Department of Environment, Infrastructure and Territory and the Public Entity for Wastewater Sanitation of the Valencian Community (Epsar), and 1.31 million from the provincial institution.

Thus, the Provincial Council will assume 10% of the total execution cost of the actions in locally owned facilities and will finance 100% of both the complete drafting of the necessary documentation to execute the actions and the technical management. Meanwhile, Epsar will assume 90% of the execution of the actions in locally owned facilities and will finance the full cost of executing the works in the Generalitat's facilities.

In this way, the financing and execution of infrastructures and actions in hydraulic installations for up to 10,000 equivalent inhabitants or managed by the Provincial Council are established, and where applicable, other municipally owned hydraulic installations.

Furthermore, the agreement stipulates that urgent or necessary actions can be carried out in sanitation and purification systems for more than 10,000 inhabitants, provided the parties agree. Additionally, it is established that the parties will participate in the same percentage in the composting facilities necessary for the treatment of sewage sludge.

The financing of the actions foreseen in the agreement covers comprehensive remodeling, new construction, and partial improvement or reform, as well as the replacement of equipment, new sanitation, and purification systems.
