Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, a glamorous figure with a keen eye on the fashion world, is not only a queen of stars and hearts but also a muse for Alicante products. The designer, originally from Navarra, has been frequently visiting the province due to her business ventures with various companies.
One might assume these are textile companies from Alcoi or nearby areas. Almost, but not quite. Agatha's latest visit to Alicante was to present Señoríos de Relleu, a young company with a seasoned family background in agronomy and olive cultivation. In other words, an oil company.
But this is no ordinary oil: 'First Day of Harvest', the most esteemed by experts. The 'First Day of Harvest' oil is the juice of olives picked in the early days of October, when the olives are mostly green, yielding a fresh, fruity, bitter, and spicy juice with the highest level of nutrients and antioxidants. It is considered the best gastronomically and the healthiest oil. For this special occasion, designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada has created an exclusive bottle that further enhances the value of this olive juice.
The pioneer of Agatha's connections with the province was the visionary Jesús Navarro, who first embraced the redesign of jars, bottles, and packaging for Carmencita products. Following this were the chocolates from Marcos Tonda in Villajoyosa, and now, as the saying goes, good things come in threes, it is the turn of Señorío de Relleu oils.
It's ideal to meet Agatha for an afternoon snack of bread with chocolate, oil, and salt.
