Afín SGR's business portfolio rose by 10.10% in 2024 compared to the previous year, reaching 615.5 million euros. This growth is the result of the sustained commercial development experienced by the reciprocal guarantee society of the Valencian Community over the past four years. Notably, in 2021, Afín SGR expanded its business portfolio to 326 million euros, marking its first full year of live risk growth after years of decline.

Over the past four years, the SGR has formalised 6,038 guarantees worth 722 million euros. Of the total operations, more than 60.7% were for micro and small enterprises, 19.5% for self-employed individuals, 16.8% for medium-sized enterprises, and only 1.8% for large companies. Additionally, nearly 342 million euros (1.2% of operations) were allocated to guarantee the financing needs of newly created projects, i.e., companies less than two years old.

As a result of this commercial activity, by the end of 2024, Afín SGR recorded over 12,400 participating partners: companies and self-employed individuals who have turned to the entity's guarantee to secure financing. This figure represents an increase of over 20% compared to 2021, when the entity barely exceeded 10,000 partners. It is also noteworthy that, during this period, 64.5% of the SGR's formalizations were aimed at investment, a type of operation generally oriented towards the creation, consolidation, or growth of business projects, which has a significant impact on employment.

The General Director of Afín SGR, José María Badía, emphasized the importance of this growth: "The increase in Afín SGR's business portfolio and the number of participating partners are indicators that demonstrate its penetration into the business fabric of the Valencian Community. A trend that has been consolidated thanks to the trust of financial entities operating in our territory and the support and collaboration of the Valencian Government and CERSA." José María Badía also noted that, due to the size of its business portfolio or live risk, Afín has established itself among the leading SGRs in Spain.

In 2024, the 18 Reciprocal Guarantee Societies (SGR) injected a total of 2,694 million euros in financing to SMEs and self-employed individuals, representing a 5% increase compared to the previous year. This growth reflects the increasing importance of guarantee activity in the national financial ecosystem, facilitating access to credit under favourable conditions for the business fabric. Currently, the country's operational SGRs maintain a live risk of 7,900 million euros and have more than 181,000 participating partners.
