A hiker was rescued on Monday morning at Peñón de Ifach after experiencing dizziness, dehydration, muscle cramps, and near fainting while descending from the summit.
The woman, unable to continue the descent on her own, was located at the initial descent area of this natural park in Calp.

Due to the complexity of the access and the condition of the affected person, the Provincial Consortium Firefighters activated the Alpha 01 rescue helicopter.
The helicopter performed a stationary manoeuvre to disembark a rescuer and a paramedic. The hiker was stabilised on-site and, after being secured, was evacuated using a crane manoeuvre.
The Firefighters transported the hiker to the helipad at Peñón, where a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance unit was waiting for her care and transport.
