The DANA is not over. This is the warning from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which has issued a 'very clear' message. The meteorological alert emergency 'is not over' and the DANA continues over Spain. In fact, it is in Castellón where very intense storms are occurring and 'we will continue like this for much of the week'.

Aemet has issued a red alert in the north of the province of Castellón and warns the population 'not to travel through the area unless it is strictly necessary'. The alert was issued on Thursday morning due to torrential rains that could leave more than 180 liters per square meter. The agency maintains the orange alert in other parts of Castellón, while Valencia remains colored yellow.

The meteorological organization insists that although the worst day of the storm 'was Tuesday, adverse phenomena will continue throughout the week'. However, Aemet emphasizes that these 'will not have the dimension of Tuesday, but it rains on wet ground'.

With all resources focused on the province of Valencia after Tuesday's catastrophe and the floods that have claimed more than 90 lives. Aemet urges 'not to be complacent in coastal areas where it does not rain' and reminds that 'many victims have occurred in areas where it was not raining, swept away by the flood or by the rise of a ravine'.

Right now, Castellón is a powder keg. After a Wednesday where the rains poured more than 200 liters per square meter, the precipitation remains torrential in areas of l'Alt Maestrat, where by eight o'clock this Thursday there were already floods with accumulations of 165 liters per square meter.

The Valencian Meteorological Association (Avamet) indicates that there are already possible floods in Vinarós and Benicarló and points out the Cervol flood, the Rambla Cervera, or the Barranco de les Coves as black spots since more than 200 liters per square meter fell there on Wednesday.

The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) has warned of several road closures due to floods in Castellón and urges 'to avoid driving on all these sections and roads'. Among the affected are the CV-137 in Calig, the CV-200 in Almedijar, the CV-130 in Albocasser, the CV-1486 and CV-148 in Borseral, and the CV-15 in La Pelechaneta.
