Changes are on the horizon at HLA Alicante to escape the relegation threat. Not even in the worst forecasts was it expected to start the season with seven consecutive defeats, and the club is more active than ever in the market to change a nightmare dynamic.

Barring surprises, the first new face will be that of an experienced coach. Antonio Pérez Caínzos was dismissed two weeks ago, and the team has not improved under Raúl Lozano, the in-house choice. "We are looking for options at all levels; everyone is on the market, from the president to the last player. It's not fair for Raúl Lozano to be in this situation, but we need more experience, and we are working on it... Quick and accurate decisions are needed," stated Daniel Adriasola, president of Lucentum, to Esport Alacantí.

"The first thing we need to do is apologize to the fans for the dismal image we presented in the last match, something no one expected. We find ourselves in an unexpected struggle, and it is clearly the worst sporting moment of the last eleven years," acknowledges Adriasola, who considers that there are many reasons for this terrible league start: "Some players did not arrive in good condition, many did not adapt to a playing system, we have not competed well... At the end of the season, everything will be analyzed calmly; now we must all row together and make the right moves," insists the Lucentum president.

HLA Alicante will try to turn things around in Ourense, one of the longest and most challenging trips of the season, as the Galician team has started the campaign promisingly with five wins and two losses.

Naturavia Morón and HLA Alicante are the only two teams in the Primera FEB that have lost all their matches, while UEMC Valladolid and Alega Cantabria are ahead with two victories.
