The cycle of the 'Market Discussions' reaches its second edition. The Central Market bonfire resumes this initiative, launched last year, to focus on analysing important aspects and elements of the Bonfires.
The district brings to the table a crucial topic for the present and future of Alicante's official festivities: accessibility. The session will take place this Friday, 24th January, at 7 PM in the Ámbito Cultural room of El Corte Inglés on Federico Soto.
The round table 'Accessibility in the Bonfires' will feature top-level guests and experts, including the Deputy Mayor of Alicante and Councillor for Environmental Sustainability, Cleaning, and Resource Management, Manuel Villar.
The discussion will also host the director of ONCE in Alicante province, Estela Martínez; occupational therapist from the San Rafael Foundation Estima, Cayetano Guillén; and resident of the supervised home Maldonado, María Teresa Rico.
The debate will also include the delegate for Universal Accessibility and Inclusion of the Federation of the Bonfires of Saint John, Aitana Tresáncoras; and the advisor for this area, Almudena Ruiz. The discussion will be moderated by the Accessibility Technician of Cocemfe, Cristian Ludgiw.
In these sessions, as in the first cycle of these discussions, guests representing various professional sectors of Alicante and others actively participating in the bonfires will jointly analyse topics that directly influence the evolution of the bonfires, aiming to achieve a more critical perspective from both views.
The next discussion will take place on Friday, 21st February, with a new theme that will add to accessibility and those analysed in the first cycle: the bellea, tourism, hospitality, and the bonfire, among others.
