19-Year-Old Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Accident in Jávea

A young motorcyclist, aged 19, is in critical condition after veering off the road while riding his motorcycle. The injured man was found in a ditch with a severely injured leg, for which an emergency tourniquet had to be applied.

The incident occurred just past midnight on the CV-740, Benitatchell road, near the Lu Lu restaurant in Jávea. There, a young man veered off the road to the left while riding a high-capacity motorcycle, according to municipal sources.

The local police arrived at the scene "immediately," finding the driver in a ditch with a leg "almost amputated" and some fractures in his left arm, according to sources close to the case.

The severity of the injuries was such that, after initial aid maneuvers, a tourniquet was placed on his leg, with a second one applied by Emergency personnel from the SVB ambulance. A SAMU also arrived at the scene and transported the young man to Alicante hospital for surgery by a vascular surgeon.
