The Calp Town Hall initiated a new phase last week in the selection process to recruit 11 new officers for the Local Police, aiming to strengthen the force and enhance security in the municipality. The physical access tests were conducted from Monday to Wednesday, with 340 candidates participating, of which 175 successfully passed.

The Town Hall has positively assessed the high number of participants in this phase of the process. A second phase now begins with theoretical and psychotechnical tests to complete the competition process.

According to Guillermo Sendra, Councillor for Citizen Security, "this measure is part of the municipal government's commitment to increase the human resources of the police force, with the aim of continuing to offer citizens and visitors more effective and closer attention in terms of security and collaboration. This reinforcement of the staff is accompanied by an increase and improvement in the material resources of this crucial professional service."

This call represents another step towards a safer Calp, in line with the municipality's strategic security and prevention plans.
