Tragic night on the A2. A 15-year-old girl died this Saturday after the vehicle she was travelling in veered off the road on the Barcelona highway, near Alcalá de Henares. According to initial investigations by Emergencies Community of Madrid 112, the car collided with the guardrail and a streetlight before leaving the roadway.
The body of the minor had to be extricated from the vehicle, where she was trapped, by firefighters, who could only confirm her death.
Alongside the deceased girl, three other people - two men and a woman - aged between 18 and 19, were travelling in the vehicle. They managed to exit the vehicle unaided but were unable to assist the victim. The accident occurred around 10:00 PM at kilometre 38 heading towards the aforementioned Madrid locality.
The three occupants who managed to exit the vehicle were attended to by the Emergency Medical Service of the Community of Madrid and were transported to various hospitals with moderate injuries. Additionally, a psychological unit was dispatched to the scene to assist the injured.
The Civil Guard has already commenced investigations to determine the circumstances that led to the accident.
