13-Month-Old Baby in Critical Condition After Drowning Incident in Málaga Home

A 13-month-old baby remains in critical condition at the Materno Infantil Hospital in Málaga, where he was admitted early Thursday afternoon showing signs of drowning and in a very serious state. It appears to be an accident that occurred while he was being bathed at his home in Monda.

Apparently, the mother rushed the child to the local health center, located very close to their home. Medical staff found him in critical condition, with bluish skin and no heartbeat, and attempted to revive him incessantly for about 40 minutes.

According to Sur, in coordination with the Monda Local Police, the 061 emergency service was activated, which dispatched a medical helicopter to transfer the baby to the Materno Infantil Hospital in Málaga. His condition remains critical.
