The new vehicles represent an investment of 3,755,380 euros, subsidized by the European Next Generation funds with 1.2 million euros, approximately 30 percent. The buses are equipped with reverse sensors, tire pressure monitoring, cybersecurity protection, speed assistants, braking systems, fatigue detectors, emergency stop signals, and even a breathalyzer with start-up lock.
Avanza Elche's operations manager, Ángel Luis Andreu, highlighted that "with the incorporation of these six new vehicles we achieve that 70 percent of the fleet is hybrid or fully electric." The manager added that this measure "contributes to the reduction of emissions of up to 80 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year."
